Why Hello There!
Okay, this week was kinda crappy but wonderful at the same time. I got sick from all the stress. My body just shut down completely. It happened Monday night so this whole week I´ve been dealing with it but luckily it got better around Friday. But Tuesday was probably the longest day of my mission. I was just laying in bed all day. I couldnt sleep cause I was in pain though my whole body. So every 10 mins I would look at my watch and think that more time had passed by... nope. Slowly but surely I got better and better and we could work the rest of the week from Wednesday on.
So crazy thing happened, this week a group of elders from Mexico entered the mission, so we had emergency changes to accomodate them and my companion is having a change. So, i´ll be getting a new companion this week. This week with my companion went really well. The morning of Wednesday, during comp study, he sat down and we talked about everything that had gone on the past 2 months. Our stresses, disappointments and the goals we have to make things better.
So, I did get to read a talk from the conference magazine. It was really appropriate cause I was feeling stressed and down and depressed with everything that was going on. It was the talk from Robert D. Hales titled ´´Waiting upon the Lord: Thy Will Be Done.´´ I really enjoyed reading that, so if you get the change you should too. Well, that's about it for this letter.

Hey Everyone!
With the new year, I thought I'd share some of my personal goals: when I come home, I want to learn a 4th language, either Hebrew or Russian. Next, I want to know the Book of Mormon well enough that I could give a summary of every chapter or at least whats happening in general. Next, by the time I come home I want to weigh 170-175 pounds and been in good shape (I`m on a good start ;)) And throughout my mission and the rest of my life I want to read at least 1 conference talk every week. :)
Now, for the topic of Faith :) You should read: 1 Nephi 7:12, Moroni 7:33 and 10:7. The focus on these scriptures is that Faith is Power; Also read Hebrew 11:6 and James 2:17-18. Faith is power; as we truly have faith and work hard at our goals that the Lord WILL help us acheive them if they are righteous desires :) Faith sometimes is hard because doubt is always easier, that's why it comes from the adversary. But only by faith can miracles happen, and only by faith can we make God happy, and only by faith in Jesus Christ will be be saved.
Keep working hard in all you do especially developing your testimony. I know this church is true with all of my heart, that this work is the work of the Lord and is a great blessing in my life. I know that God lives, loves us, and helps us according to our faith and righteous desires. I love you and be safe.

Happy New Years to YOU :)
I'm sorry I don't have a lot of time today. Real quick, how did your new years go!? What did you end up doing? To answer your questions fast: teaching is hard, so is the language but I`m loving this challange. I have a lot of other challanges ahead of me this change that I kinda wrote to my family. And for new years... we didn't do anything ha ha holidays dont really exist here...
For the Christlike attribute of Love, read Mat 5:44, 2 Cor 8:8-9, DC42:22, and 1 John 4:18. Last, I was reading a talk called ``A Time To Prepare`` by Ian S. Ardern from this last general conference. I just really enjoyed it and thought that you would too.
There`s just not enough time to share everything I wish I could, but I hope this letter is good enough ha ha Thank you for your support and prayers. I love you and hope you have a great week. I know this gospel is true. I know that fasting and prayer truly brings blessings. Thanks again for everything.

Hey Guys,
Oh, I`ve just been so happy since I got to talk to everyone! In fact, a few days before the phone call I was getting all nervous for some weird reason ha ha. As far as my Christmas day, I`ll give you a little play-by-play. I woke up at 6 and kinda laid in bed just thinking ``wow... I`m in Guatemala for christmas..`` ha ha and then at 6:30 I got up out of bed and opened my packages. Then I just got ready for church. I blessed the sacrament in this awesome language. (btw I`m the designated person to bless the sacrament its kinda funny) We went back to the house and chilled for a bit. We went and visited a member. At 3:30 I just laid on my bed super anxious to get the phone call, and since it took forever I started getting really nervous that I wouldn't get my call ha ha, but it all turned out great. After the call we watched a church movie and talked and just took it easy. Very simple but an awesome day!
And for the topic of hope this week, I wanted to share these scriptures: Romans 8:24-25, Hebrews 6:10-15, 18-19. Hope is definately a hard one to perfect and can only ``hope`` its possible ;) oh that was a bad pun but funny none the less. Thank you for supporting me in this mission. Do the basics everyday like prayer and scriptures, and the spirit will always be with you. Be safe and I cant wait to talk to you next week.
Love you,

Hello!
How are you? :) This this week was amazing. I`ve loved the time so far here in my area. Even though it is one of the hardest areas in all of this mission, I've loved the challange the Lord has given me. At times it definitely tries me in every way for things like: my patience, strength, charity, and definitely my hope. The Language is still hard ha ha that's not going to change, but surprisingly its getting better. I`ve learned some new phrases and different ways to say things and little by little its getting better.
Because I`m going to talk to you here in 6 days I`m going to keep this email short so I can write some of my buddies and other's.
Lastly, real quick I'll end on a spiritual thought: I was reading about the Great Apostacy and came across one of Paul`s visions about how there was going to be ``Wolves`` who come in and change and ultimately ruin the church. So, I wanted to apply it to me and share it with you so you can apply it as well. Acts 20:29-30 and my little phrase I wrote to myself is ``Don't let the `wolves` into our lives`` we all have different wolves, but we need to always be aware of what they are and make sure they don't enter. Once a wolf enters, he will devour what he can.

Hey!
I`m doing pretty good myself :) thanks for asking. This last week went by pretty well. Just working hard and trying to make things happen here :) The adjustment to this area is done ha I`m adjusted and I`m absolutely loving this area! It really is so beautiful and I love being in such a great place. As for the language, I mean, its hard theres no doubt about it, but I`m learning and I`m starting to understand what people are saying more. I`m starting to understand the scriptures more so I mean it's good. The Lords helping me where I need it. Thank you for your prayers.
So speaking of Temples I got to watch the Dedication of the new temple in Guatemala over in Quetzaltenango. It was sweet, Pres Uchtdorf came and spoke along with Neil Anderson of the 12. It was a cool experience.
This week I studied Charity, and these are the scriptures I really enjoyed: Alma 7:11-13,24 Ether 12:28 DC 88:125 and 1 Peter 4:8
I actually heard from my Lìder De Distrito that I got 2 of my packages! I`m also extremely excited to be able to talk to you on Sunday. So, to end this extremely long letter, I just wanted to share something that I learned this week: I`ve really been trying to grow up and be more mature and be the person that the Lord needs me to be and be who I want myself to be right? So, I`ve given myself to the Lord for these two years to teach and preach this gospel... I`ve learned spanish and I`m learning another language... I`ve been really obedient to the rules.. I`ve studied my tail off. So, the question I came to was ``What am I not doing? Why haven't I received what I expected to?`` Which took me to a story in the bible about the man who said the same things as I just mentioned. He came to the Lord and said ``What Lack I Yet?`` (Mat 19:16-24) and the Lord replied to the rich man ``Leave your riches and follow me`` because the man had so much, it was too difficult to leave and follow Christ. How I apply that story to me is that my mentality has been ``I`ve done all of these things that you asked, therefore I DESERVE better`` my attitude of ``I deserve this`` is whats been holding me back. I realized I need to be more humble with the success that the Lord HAS given me to this point and realize that I am only in his hands. And as I give up my attitude that I deserve, thats when I truly am ``following Him.`` I want you to know that I really have a testimony of this gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that the Atonement is real. That is why I`m here serving Him. Hello Everyone,
Man.. this week was rough :) Just a lot of learning and adjusting. Thank you so much for your love and support. All I can ask from you at this point is your prayers and letters. I never thought in a million years that I`d be living like this, but hey :) here I am. Ha I`m learning a lot and the Lord is definitely pushing me to be my best. At times it can feel overwhelming but I just look at the pictures of those who are supporting me and I remember what I`m doing here and I can just go to work. As of right now I`m comfortable living here now, but the language is just super hard.
Some scriptures I`ve enjoyed recently are 1 Peter 5:10 about how God allows us to suffer a little while in order to make us perfect like him. Also, D&C 52:33 about how I`m here on MY mission. My journey is not anyone elses journey... I`m not following anyone elses tracks. My situation on how I left, came home, and went back is definatly my OWN tracks. and its my plan that God had for me.
They are about to dedicate a temple here in Guatemala. I wish I could go to the temple... but its too far away and only the elders who are in the Capital can go. I cant wait for the day when I can go again... It might not be until I go home but still :)
I can't wait to hear from everyone during our Christmas call! I want you to know that I have an unbreakable testimony of this Gospel. I know that we`re given challenges to become perfected and that when these test come in life that we need to rely on the Lord. I know I`ll learn this language, but I need to be patient with myself ha ha I know Thomas S Monson is the living prophet and that God continues to talk to us and gives us instructions.
Have a great week :)
